Unit XV course at Softbiome
The Unit XV course at Softbiome provides students with digital 3D modelling and visualisation skills tailored to their level of experience.
School: Softbiome
Course: Unit XV
Location: online
Course dates: continual enrolment, with a duration of three months
Application deadline: 1 July 2022
Unit XV is a three-month one-to-one flexible course aimed at students or professionals of architecture, interior design, product design, concept design, digital art, motion graphics, NFTs and concept or commercial cinematics.
It is also suitable for anyone with an interest in learning the latest techniques and methodologies in digital design and visualisation, regardless of your background.
The course starts with a discussion about your personal interests and ambitions, which helps us tailor the program to you and your objectives. The outcome of this initial step will be a customised brief for the development of a project.
To inform the brief we will also suggest topics and agendas we currently find interesting, such as functionally graded materials, large scale 3D printing, novel and experimental typologies for site or culture specific projects, dystopian narratives, generative and parametric design, and bio-inspired strategies, aesthetics and performances.
The course equally weighs concept design, 3D modelling and visualisation skills and attempts to integrate them all into one streamlined pipeline.
The course is flexible and adjusted for any technical level and background, from complete beginners to advanced designers.
Softbiome will provide a digital certificate upon completion of the course.
Applications to this course have now closed.
