The MS Interior Architecture and Design program at Drexel University prepares skilled designers, creative thinkers and industry leaders in interior design and architecture. With a focus on sustainability, diversity and equity, the curriculum fosters exploration, innovation and responsibility for public wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
Students engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, hands-on research and immersive studio learning, equipping them for a dynamic profession. Graduates emerge as ethical, forward-thinking professionals ready to shape the built environment and contribute to the field’s evolving body of knowledge.
The program offers two degree options: the Master of Interior Architecture and Design (MSIAD), a CIDA-accredited first-professional degree and the Master of Interior Architecture (MSIA), a post-professional degree for those with prior experience in interior design or architecture. Both degrees emphasise sustainable design, material innovation and social impact.
The studio environment emphasises both creativity and social responsibility, providing a collaborative space where students develop practical design solutions. Through projects that integrate sustainability, social equity and innovation, students gain the skills to address real-world environmental and social challenges. They learn to approach interior architecture as a problem-solving discipline, using design to improve spaces in meaningful and lasting ways.
