School: Monash University
Course: Bachelor of Architectural Design
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Course dates: March 2024 to November 2026
Application deadline: 31 October 2023
Progressive, dynamic and regarded by the industry as a champion of change, Monash Architecture positions you to imagine environments of the future and shape the way we live and interact with one another.
From award-winning buildings to urban and community transformation, you’ll focus on improving our lived experience with spaces that are inspiring, inclusive and sustainable.
During the course, you’ll spend about 50 per cent of your degree participating in studio learning. Guided by industry experts and academics, you’ll work with your peers in small groups on global urban and social issues, replicating the way many architectural and design practices operate.
You’ll also develop skills in visualisation, model making, digital fabrication and live presentation to communicate your ideas and responses to clients, communities and policy-makers.
There’s no need to have previously studied any design subjects, as your first year has been set up to give you all the foundational skills you need to be successful in your degree and practice.
Upon successful completion of the bachelor’s degree, you’ll be guaranteed a place in the Master of Architecture or you can move directly into the Master of Urban Planning and Design.
