Advanced Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration at Torrens University Australia
The Advanced Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration course at Torrens University Australia prepares students to work for design studios or start their own practice.
The Advanced Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration will set you up for a successful career, graduating with a higher-level qualification that meets the Australian ABS criteria required of the interior designer occupation.
Developed in response to industry, you’ll gain an understanding of the design processes that shape the commercial and residential environments we live, work, shop and eat in across our daily lives.
The course is one of Australia’s most sought-after and comprehensive programmes. It will teach you the technical and theoretical skills needed to launch your own business or walk straight into an architectural practice job-ready, like many of our graduates.
You’ll explore the commercial aspects of interior design, including determining FF&E (furniture, finishes and equipment), supervising interior projects, getting wet rooms waterproofed, and bringing your designs to life with sustainability at the forefront.
Plus, you’ll get real-world experience to apply your knowledge throughout your entire course, including a double capstone project and work-integrated learning where you can complete a live brief or internship.
As a course recognised by the Design Institute of Australia, you will graduate confident that your studies meet industry standards. The course is also taught by industry experts who share the same passion for interiors as you.
